SVC “Light The Night Walk”

Baywood Dental Group wants to inform our clients that the “Light The Night” event being held in Crystal Springs Picnic Area on October 2nd. The event is a celebration of hope that brings families, friends, businesses and co-workers together to raise funds for the Leukemia & Lymphonma society (LLS’s).

The event consists of a leisurely walk that is illuminated by balloons that each participant carries. White balloons signifies survivors, red balloons indicate supporters and gold balloons serve in memoriam to friends and family lost to cancer.

Quick facts about “Light The Night Walk”:

  • Illuminated balloons, Light the Night T-shirts and a wrist band entitling walkers to enjoy food and refreshments are provided to all walkers who become a Champion For Cures by raising $100 or more to help fight blood cancer.
  • The Walk is done at a leisurely pace and take less than an hour to complete.
  • Strollers and wheelchairs are welcome. However, for everyone’s safety, bicycles, inline skates, wheelie footwear, skateboards and scooters are not allowed.
  • Walks take place rain or shine.
  • Pets? Please check with the nearest chapter about bring pets.

All Participants in the event are encouraged to register to walk on the website.

Toys with Baywood Dental and SCV Jaycees

It is that time of the year where Baywood Dental Group’s staff helps collect toys for the holiday season to donate to a child in need. We have joined up with JCI Santa Clarita Valley (SCV Jaycees).

Our dental team will be donating 1-2 toys per member towards this great cause. We encourage anybody who would like to donate toys to drop them off at our office. No toy is too small to donate!

Once the toys are collected, organized and wrapped, the children are invited to attend a special party at Ice Station Valencia on Saturday, December 19 at 6 p.m. Children then have the opportunity to ice skate, eat, make crafts and meet Santa Claus.  Each child will leave the event with a bag full of wrapped gifts and a smile!

Every year there is a story that touches your heart, like the time a young deaf boy signed to Santa. For the first time in the boy’s life Santa signed back. The young boy was finally able to really tell Santa what he wanted. Another heart-warming experience was when a newly widowed father watched his little girl get that bike she wanted so badly, but he couldn’t afford.

With your help we can all make a difference in somebody’s holiday this year.

Baywood Dental Group and Muscular Dystrophy Association

Baywood Dental Group is a proud sponsor of Jerry’s kids helping the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). For the past four years our dental team has been involved in raising money for the MDA. Our very own, Luz, devotes much of her energy to this cause and is very passionate about it.  She and all of our staff are going to be involved in an upcoming MDA event being held in Valencia, California.
On November 19th, Luz will be taken from our dental office and escorted to  Outback Steakhouse for a mock arrest and lock up…that’s right, she is going behind bars to help Jerry’s Kids and MDA.
Her bail has been set at $1,250 which sponsors an MDA child for the entire year! The contribution will help provide the following:
Sends 1 local child to MDA Summer Camp
Initial diagnostic work-up at an MDA clinic
Funds a support group session
